I added a new page to my blog – “Books I’ve Read in 2010”. I read a ton of books, and have never kept a list. I decided to do so this year.

Feel free to leave suggestions in comments!

Yay! My newest Amazon order shipped today. Soon to be on my reading shelf:

The Thirteen American Arguments: Enduring Debates That Define and Inspire Our Country by Howard Fineman.

You Can’t Be Neutral on a Moving Train: A Personal History of Our Times by Howard Zinn.

Raising Freethinkers: A Practical Guide for Parenting Beyond Belief by Dale McGowan, et al.

We have Zinn’s “A People’s History” and McGowan’s “Parenting Beyond Belief” (yes, I’m too lazy to link these for you. You should already  have them, anyway), so these will be good supplements to our library. I’m very interested to read Fineman’s book…the Supreme Court has always fascinated me.

I was disappointed (but not surprised) that my parish (county, for you folks in the other 49 states)  library system carries none of these books. If  you aren’t Rush Limbaugh, Ann Coulter, James Dobson, Danielle Steele or Nora Roberts, your books are not deemed important enough to be carried in our system.

Fuck, I’m ready to move out of this stifling area.
